Meet Principal Byas
Ebony is an accomplished educational leader with over a decade of experience in urban education. She has held senior roles including Senior Director of Operations at Harlem Children’s Zone Promise Academy High School and Dean of Climate & Culture at New Visions AIM II Charter High School, where she led staff development, implemented restorative and attendance systems, strengthened family and community engagement, and built operational structures that supported instructional excellence and student success. Currently, as Director of Operations at Capital Prep Bronx, she oversees daily school operations and partners closely with the principal and instructional leaders to ensure school-wide systems that promote high-quality teaching, learning, and a positive school culture.
Ebony holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University, where she earned a 4.0 GPA, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Human Resource Management at Louisiana State University. Her combined expertise in school operations, organizational leadership, and culture-building positions her to successfully launch and lead a new school community.

Dear Capital Prep New Rochelle Families,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Director of Operations at Capital Prep New Rochelle! Before joining this incredible community, I spent the past eight years at Capital Prep Harbor in Bridgeport, CT, where I had the privilege of supporting students, families, and staff in creating a strong, success-driven school environment.
I am excited to bring my experience and passion for education to New York and look forward to meeting all of our scholars and their families. My goal is to ensure that every student has the resources and support they need to thrive, and I am here to assist in any way I can.
